Project Goal
The purpose of this project was to design an app to do good and to help people using UI and UX design
psychology to better understand the user experience. Branding needed to be developed for the
app and the final frames needed to be prototyped in Figma to mockup an interactive user
experience. The app also needed to be AODA compliant and be easily accessible in terms of
imagery, typography and interactive elements.

Concept
HappyBelly is an app designed to help people who are gluten free find restaurants, take out, cafes and bakeries that are safe for them to eat at. This app filters restaurants and dishes by the level of gluten intolerance the user has in order for them to choose the food that is safest for them. HappyBelly is user-based where other users can rate, comment and leave reviews about their experiences at different places. The goal of this app was to help gluten free people be able to go out to eat stress and worry-free.
Design Solution
The final prototype uses human-centred design to create an app that helps people feel confident and safe with their food choices. Through researching UX and UI design, it was important that the app was easy and intuitive to navigate. The layout of the app was kept consistent on each page to ensure the best user experience possible. The final app includes many features such as a map that locates gluten free places near you, a favourites tab where the user can save their favourites locations and dishes, search and filter functions where the user can search for something specific or use filters to narrow their search and the ability to see reviews for every place and every dish you find on the app
